Frequently Asked Questions
Every experience runs for groups of 4 to 13 guests. That's the sweet spot for our vehicle and for the tasting rooms — big enough to feel like an occasion, small enough that every winery can seat you together. If your group is larger, reach out and we'll figure something out.
Door to door, anywhere in Austin. We come to your house, hotel, or wherever the group is gathering that morning, and we bring you back to the same place at the end of the day. No meeting point, no parking, no one figuring out how to get home.Full guideDo you need a driver for a wine tour?
Plan on a full day. We start between 10:00 and 11:00 in the morning, and the day is built around three wineries with a real meal in the middle. Dripping Springs and Driftwood run shorter because the drive is about 40 minutes each way; Fredericksburg is 90 minutes out, so that day runs longer.Full guideHow to plan a Hill Country wine day
Not much. The driving and reservations are handled — just bring a card for tastings, glasses or bottles at the wineries. Bring water, sunglasses, and shoes you can stand on gravel in — winery parking lots are not paved. From May through September, a hat is worth it. And if you plan on buying bottles, we'll keep them cool in the back so nothing bakes in a hot car all afternoon.Full guideWhat to pack for a day of wine tasting
Whatever you'd wear to a nice lunch. Tasting rooms in the Hill Country are relaxed — no jackets, no dress code — but the ground between the parking lot and the patio is gravel and caliche, so flat shoes beat heels every time. Layers help: most days start cool, run hot by two in the afternoon, and cool off again on the drive home.Full guideWhat to wear to a winery, season by season
Every experience includes winery stops, but the exact number depends on the seasonal itinerary. We prioritize creating the best day—not hitting a specific number of stops.Full guideHow many wineries fit into one day
In practice, no. Rideshare coverage thins out fast once you leave Austin, and the Hill Country wineries sit on rural highways where a driver who takes you out often won't have anyone to pick up nearby. Groups who try it usually spend the afternoon waiting rather than tasting — which is most of the reason this company exists.Full guideUber and rideshare in the Hill Country
No — tastings are not included in the tour price. At each winery you choose what suits you: do a tasting, sip by the glass, or purchase bottles, all at your own pace, and pay the winery directly. Food at the BBQ or biergarten stop is ordered separately too. What every experience does include: your private transportation and driver, door-to-door pickup from Austin, winery reservations made in advance, and every planned stop along the way.Full guideWhat a Hill Country wine trip costs

A $250 deposit secures your date. The remaining balance — the rest of the tour plus 8.25% Texas sales tax and a 3% processing fee — is due 5 days before your tour. We'll send that invoice after we connect.
Texas Hill Country weather is usually beautiful, but if severe weather arises, we'll work with you to reschedule at no additional cost. Your experience matters more than any policy.
